Warranty Statement
Warranty Coverage
Unless otherwise specified at the time of sale, USCANTECH (“USCANTECH”) warrants its custom-built computers to be free of all defects in material and workmanship for 2 years from the original date of delivery. This warranty extends to the original buyer and each successive buyer within the warranty period. Within the period of this warranty, USCANTECH will repair or replace, free of charge, any part proving defective in material or workmanship, with the same, equivalent or better models depending on availability. Some parts may carry component manufacturer’s warranty which can potentially extend beyond the two-year USCANTECH warranty period. Such extended warranty requests, if applicable, must be claimed directly with the component manufacturers, which may be subject to their own terms and conditions. USCANTECH makes no guarantee of and is not responsible for the results of such claims.
Extended Warranty for Monthly IT Service Clients
USCANTECH may offer extended warranties to its monthly IT service clients who purchase computers from USCANTECH. Such extended warranties are only valid if the monthly IT service plan remains active AND without gap, downgrade or interruption throughout the ENTIRE warranty period. If the client cancels the monthly IT service plan, or becomes default, or the plan is suspended or cancelled by USCANTECH due to client’s breach of service terms or acceptable use policy, the extended warranty becomes void immediately, and cannot be resumed even if the client resumes the monthly IT service plan.
Excluded Products
USCANTECH general warranty covers USCANTECH-built or refurbished desktop computers and servers only. Certain hardware products sold by USCANTECH are covered by their original manufacturer’s warranty if applicable, and such warranty claims must be made directly between the client and the manufacturer, subject to the manufacturer’s terms and conditions.
Warranty for IT Services Without Monthly Service Plans
Unless otherwise specified at the time of service, USCANTECH warrants the IT services it renders to be free of defects in servicemanship for 30 days from the original date of service completion.
Service Method
Upon USCANTECH approval, some defective components may be returned to USCANTECH and replacement components may be shipped directly to the customer for self-installation. Unless otherwise specified, two-way round-trip return shipping is included in the first 45 days of the warranty period. After that, customer is responsible for one way shipping to the return facility. Certain eligible orders may include paid round-trip return shipping for two years. At USCANTECH’s discretion, some replacement parts may be cross-shipped with customer and the customer is responsible for sending back the defective parts in a timely manner to avoid charges. Cross-shipping warranty replacement excludes certain high-end components valued over $300. In cases where the entire Covered Product must be returned for service, all warranty repairs and services must be performed by an authorized USCANTECH technician, or at a service facility authorized by USCANTECH. All shipping expenses assumed by USCANTECH are limited to Ground Service within continental US only. If the customer sends in any item by a shipping courier, we recommend that the customer packs carefully and securely, preferably in the original packing materials, insures the package and ships it with a tracking number. USCANTECH accepts no liability for products lost, damaged or misplaced in shipment during the return trip to our facility.
